Cymcap Software Training
In addition to the customized training available to each of our customers, Powerconsultants offers training sessions on its software applications.
These courses are intended for the current users of the CYME products.
All Software Training courses are organized, prepared and provided by CYME/Power Consultants approved specialists.
Objectives
At the end of the one-day sessions the participants will understand the basic principles of ampacity calculations based on the IEC & Neher-McGrath methods.
Additionally, the participants will be able to prepare and run by themselves steady state and transient ampacity computations using CYMCAP for different installations such as: directly buried cables, cables in duct banks, cables in air, cables in riser poles, buried pipes, etc.
They will be able to build cable and duct bank models, assemble shapes, loads and heat sources.
The participants will also learn how to use the add-on modules of CYMCAP: MDB (Multiple Duct Banks), OPT (Duct Bank Optimizer), SCR (Short Circuit Rating), etc.
Participants Background
This program is designed for Electrical Engineers requiring to thermally rate cables using CYMCAP and are beginners with using CYMCAP. Electrical Engineering Technologist can also profit from it, but the theoretical scope needs to be scaled down. This training course will help them to start working with CYMCAP, model and study their cases.
