POWSYS32
for Windows analyses radial and meshed, balanced
three-phase electric networks, consisting of sources
of supply (generators or supply points), distribution
feeders and transmission lines (aerial lines and underground
cables), transformers, and loads.
It determines network voltages, current and power
flows and network losses. |
|
|
Designed
for both industry and electricity utilities, it is
used to:
- Assess
the ability of the network to supply new or increased
loads
- Configure
the system for optimal operating conditions - voltage
levels, losses, etc.
- Predict
the performance of the network under contingency
conditions
- Assess
the economics of alternative network augmentation
strategies.
Dynamic Switching Analysis (eg. Motor Starting)
With POWSYS32 for Windows effects on voltage
levels and power flows due to Dynamic Switching events,
such as motor starting, loss of load or generation,
etc. can be simply yet accurately assessed. Motor
starting analyses can be used to determine if proposed
starting methods are acceptable, or to determine the
constraints that would need to be applied.
